Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In October 2021, 53,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (+11.9 %), of which 50,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's October.

12,100 rooms (+6.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 20,900 rooms (+41.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 408,000 registered bed nights (-0.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,100 (+26.8 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 439,000 (+1.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+25.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+19.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 708,000 nights (+57.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro, length of stay in October was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-4.6 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.8 nights (-0.4 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+8.8 %).

29,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.7 percent were domestic, and 5.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.8 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.25).
