In December 2021, 15,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Örnsköldsvik (+139.2 %), of which 13,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 139 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 144 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 139 percent from last year's December.
3,000 rooms (+158.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,200 rooms (+102.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 250,000 registered bed nights (+21.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,000 (+56.3 %) for foreigners in Örnsköldsvik, in total 276,000 (+23.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
