Registered bed nights increased four percent

In December 2019, 6,900 bed nights were recorded in Orsa (+4.3 %), of which 6,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased six percent and foreign bed nights decreased 29 percent. In total, bed nights increased four percent from last year's December.

1,600 rooms (+62.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 520 rooms (+159.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 137,000 bed nights (-1.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 47,400 (+10.5 %) for foreigners in Orsa, in total 185,000 (+1.3 %) nights.

Total of 3.5 million bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Orsa out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,600 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Orsa on average 2.6 nights (-0.56) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-1.4).
