Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 58 percent

In March 2023, 2,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Orust (+57.9 %), of which 1,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 186 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 65 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 58 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (51 nights).

820 rooms (+82.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 380 rooms (+108.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 3,900 registered bed nights (+47.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 410 (+32.7 %) for foreigners in Orust, in total 4,300 (+46.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Orust out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 22 percent compared to earlier year. In Orust, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Orust on average 1.9 nights (-24.8 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-26.9 %).

1,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 102 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.9 percent were domestic, and 10.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Orust on average 1.9 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.95).
