Registered bed nights increased 34 percent
In December 2021, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Orust (+34.0 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 90 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 96 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (36 nights).
580 rooms (+30.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 230 rooms (+26.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 140,000 registered bed nights (+28.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,900 (+394.4 %) for foreigners in Orust, in total 153,000 (+36.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 104 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Orust on average 1.6 nights (-0.81) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-1.7).
