Registered bed nights increased three percent
In August 2019, 32,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Orust (+3.1 %), of which 26,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's August.
2,900 rooms (+50.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 310 rooms (+19.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 108,000 registered bed nights (+5.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,800 (-12.7 %) for foreigners in Orust, in total 131,000 (+1.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
