Registered bed nights increased 34 percent

In February 2023, 9,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Oskarshamn (+34.1 %), of which 8,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 710 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's February.

1,400 rooms (+42.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+37.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 18,700 registered bed nights (+66.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (-4.6 %) for foreigners in Oskarshamn, in total 20,000 (+58.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased 21 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 21 percent compared to earlier year. In Oskarshamn, length of stay in February was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oskarshamn on average 2.9 nights (+31.7 %) and foreigners 3.9 nights (-50.4 %).

3,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.
