Registered bed nights increased 38 percent

In December 2021, 6,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Oskarshamn (+38.1 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 460 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 38 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Portugal (680 nights).

1,200 rooms (+13.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,300 rooms (+37.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 167,000 registered bed nights (+12.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,100 (+89.0 %) for foreigners in Oskarshamn, in total 184,000 (+16.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oskarshamn out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 131 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oskarshamn on average 1.7 nights (-1.4) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+0.75).
