In September 2019, 11,000 bed nights were recorded in Oskarshamn (-13.4 %), of which 9,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased five percent and foreign bed nights decreased 46 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 13 percent from last year's September.

2,500 rooms (+37.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,600 rooms (-17.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 125,000 bed nights (+0.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 29,100 (+11.0 %) for foreigners in Oskarshamn, in total 154,000 (+2.0 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oskarshamn out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,900 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 89.6 percent were domestic, and 10.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oskarshamn on average 1.8 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.6).
