Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 48 percent

In February 2020, 8,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Oskarshamn (+47.7 %), of which 7,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 41 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 110 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 48 percent from last year's February.

1,100 rooms (+49.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+20.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 13,200 registered bed nights (+30.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,900 (+60.2 %) for foreigners in Oskarshamn, in total 15,100 (+33.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oskarshamn out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Oskarshamn, length of stay in February was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oskarshamn on average 2.6 nights (+7.3 %) and foreigners 8.0 nights (+72.5 %).

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.7 percent were domestic, and 5.3 percent were from foreign countries.
