Oslo: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 35 percent
In June 2021, 202,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Oslo (+35.4 %), of which 183,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 19,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's June.
104,000 nights (+35.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 45,100 nights (-24.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 563,000 registered bed nights (-34.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 98,300 (-66.4 %) for foreigners in Oslo, in total 661,000 (-42.3 %) registered nights.

91,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.3 percent were domestic, and 6.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oslo on average 2.1 nights (+0.36) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+0.23).

Registered accommodation sales in June were 89.1 million crowns (+4.7 million).
Registered January-June sales were 266.9 million crowns and they decreased 469.0 million euro from the previous year.
