Oslo: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 220 percent
In February 2022, 270,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Oslo (+219.3 %), of which 210,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 59,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 185 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 450 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 220 percent from last year's February.
133,000 nights (+363.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 75,600 nights (+192.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 344,000 registered bed nights (+136.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 99,400 (+177.9 %) for foreigners in Oslo, in total 443,000 (+144.3 %) registered nights.

138,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 290 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.9 percent were domestic, and 20.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oslo on average 1.9 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.76).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 150.7 million crowns (+117.2 million).
Registered January-February sales were 238.4 million crowns and they increased 166.0 million euro from the previous year.
