Registered bed nights increased 155 percent

In October 2021, 438,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Oslo (+155.1 %), of which 346,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 91,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 134 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 280 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 155 percent from last year's October.

215,000 nights (+172.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 130,000 nights (+90.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 1.9 million registered bed nights (+17.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 421,000 (-3.9 %) for foreigners in Oslo, in total 2.4 million (+13.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 18.5 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+57.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (+50.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 306,000 nights (+120.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oslo out of total registered bed nights was 18.5 % (+7.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 16.8 % and foreign bed nights 29.9 %.

228,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 191 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.1 percent were domestic, and 18.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oslo on average 1.9 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.2).
