110,000 registered bed nights

In November 2020, 110,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Oslo (-75.0 %), of which 92,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 72 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 84 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 75 percent from last year's November.

42,700 nights (-78.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 49,600 nights (-74.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 1.7 million registered bed nights (-48.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 456,000 (-75.8 %) for foreigners in Oslo, in total 2.2 million (-58.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 12.8 percent

Total of 861,000 registered bed nights (-56.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 751,000 nights (-54.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 111,000 nights (-67.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oslo out of total registered bed nights was 12.8 % (-9.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 12.3 % and foreign bed nights 16.1 %.

Length of stay increased 75 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 75 percent compared to earlier year. In Oslo, length of stay in November was on average 2.9 nights and in Norway 2.4 nights (+37.9 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oslo on average 2.8 nights (+10.7 %) and foreigners 4.3 nights (+23.3 %).

37,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 86 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.8 percent were domestic, and 11.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oslo on average 2.8 nights (+1.2) and foreigners 4.3 nights (+2.3).

162,000 air travelers

The airport received a total of 162,000 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased 85 percent.

Of local passengers, 21.3 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 78.7 %.

In addition, there were 157,000 passengers departing the airport (-85.0 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 319,000 (-84.9 %).
