Registered bed nights increased 74 percent

In February 2022, 6,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Øst-Finnmark (+74.4 %), of which 5,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 65 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 144 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 74 percent from last year's February.

2,200 nights (+91.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,100 nights (+14.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 9,300 registered bed nights (+47.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (+106.0 %) for foreigners in Øst-Finnmark, in total 11,800 (+57.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Øst-Finnmark out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 60 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.7 percent were domestic, and 16.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Øst-Finnmark on average 1.9 nights (+0.25) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.4).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 5.9 million crowns (+2.0 million).

Registered January-February sales were 10.6 million crowns and they increased 2.9 million euro from the previous year.
