Registered bed nights increased 33 percent
In October 2020, 12,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Øst-Telemark (+33.5 %), of which 11,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 520 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 47 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 56 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's October.
6,200 nights (+106.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,500 nights (+3.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and October, 133,000 registered bed nights (+16.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 25,600 (-58.4 %) for foreigners in Øst-Telemark, in total 159,000 (-9.5 %) registered nights.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. In Øst-Telemark, length of stay in October was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (+14.4 %).
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Øst-Telemark on average 2.2 nights (-2.9 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+15.6 %).
5,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.2 percent were domestic, and 4.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Øst-Telemark on average 2.2 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.62).
