Registered bed nights increased 112 percent
In March 2022, 17,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Øst-Telemark (+112.4 %), of which 10,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 3,300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 112 percent from last year's March.
6,200 nights (+45.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,900 nights (+378.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 25,400 registered bed nights (+25.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,900 (+3,054.3 %) for foreigners in Øst-Telemark, in total 41,300 (+99.5 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Øst-Telemark, length of stay in March was on average 3.0 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-23.5 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Øst-Telemark on average 2.4 nights (-3.2 %) and foreigners 5.2 nights (-5.9 %).
5,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 101 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.1 percent were domestic, and 21.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Øst-Telemark on average 2.4 nights (-0.42) and foreigners 5.2 nights (-0.83).
