7,100 registered bed nights

In September 2019, 7,100 bed nights were recorded in Österåker (-1.8 %), of which 6,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 760 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and foreign bed nights increased 141 percent. In total, bed nights decreased two percent from last year's September.

550 rooms (+70.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,900 rooms (+5.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 48,200 bed nights (-9.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (-17.4 %) for foreigners in Österåker, in total 51,500 (-9.7 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Österåker out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,200 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.5 percent were domestic, and 3.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Österåker on average 1.5 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 5.1 nights (+0.66).
