15,000 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 15,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Østerdalen (-43.1 %), of which 14,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 199 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 97 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 43 percent from last year's June.

740 nights (-68.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 970 nights (-38.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 36,800 registered bed nights (-43.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,900 (-75.3 %) for foreigners in Østerdalen, in total 40,700 (-49.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (-45.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.2 million nights (-18.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 128,000 nights (-91.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Østerdalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 49 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 49 percent compared to earlier year. In Østerdalen, length of stay in June was on average 2.9 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (+14.7 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Østerdalen on average 3.0 nights (+19.7 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+24.3 %).

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 62 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.6 percent were domestic, and 2.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Østerdalen on average 3.0 nights (+0.92) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.2).
