Registered bed nights increased 71 percent
In December 2021, 10,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Østerdalen (+71.1 %), of which 9,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 770 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 107 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 71 percent from last year's December.
7,700 nights (+123.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 128 nights (-23.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 214,000 registered bed nights (+26.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,200 (+13.1 %) for foreigners in Østerdalen, in total 230,000 (+25.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. In Østerdalen, length of stay in December was on average 2.6 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (-10.3 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Østerdalen on average 2.5 nights (+5.5 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-2.1 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 115 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.3 percent were domestic, and 4.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Østerdalen on average 2.5 nights (-0.68) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-0.56).
