Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 41 percent

In June 2022, 32,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Østerdalen (+40.7 %), of which 24,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 5,200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 41 percent from last year's June.

9,900 nights (+76.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 520 nights (-47.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 75,300 registered bed nights (+35.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,400 (+2,196.6 %) for foreigners in Østerdalen, in total 92,700 (+64.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.7 percent

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+18.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.4 million nights (+904.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Østerdalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Østerdalen, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-11.7 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Østerdalen on average 2.4 nights (+3.2 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-44.9 %).

14,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 68.3 percent were domestic, and 31.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Østerdalen on average 2.4 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.41).
