Östergötland County: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased six percent
In March 2019, 91,300 bed nights were recorded in Östergötland County (+5.8 %), of which 79,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 19 percent. In total, bed nights increased six percent from last year's March.
Between January and March, 200,000 bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,800 (-12.9 %) for foreigners in Östergötland County, in total 235,000 (+2.0 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (-3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-0.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 879,000 nights (-13.5 %) by foreigners.
The market share of Östergötland County out of total bed nights was 2.0 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.
