Registered bed nights increased 40 percent

In February 2022, 73,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Östergötland County (+39.9 %), of which 66,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (660 nights).

20,000 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 27,000 rooms by business visitors.

Between January and February, 119,000 registered bed nights (+41.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,100 (+48.9 %) for foreigners in Östergötland County, in total 132,000 (+42.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.5 percent

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+11.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-2.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 577,000 nights (+162.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Östergötland County out of total registered bed nights was 2.5 % (+0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.8 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

47,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östergötland County on average 1.5 nights and foreigners 2.9 nights.
