Registered bed nights increased nine percent
In January 2018, 69,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Östergötland County (+8.9 %), of which 56,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 13,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's January.
14,600 rooms (+8.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 34,700 rooms (+10.5 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Östergötland County, length of stay in January was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+2.2 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östergötland County on average 1.5 nights and foreigners 2.5 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.5 percent were domestic, and 12.5 percent were from foreign countries.
