52,600 registered bed nights

In November 2020, 52,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Östergötland County (-55.6 %), of which 44,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 36 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 56 percent from last year's November.

13,700 rooms (-52.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 21,400 rooms (-57.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 1.3 million registered bed nights (-15.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 110,000 (-65.4 %) for foreigners in Östergötland County, in total 1.4 million (-24.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (-56.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (-53.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 234,000 nights (-68.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Östergötland County out of total registered bed nights was 3.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.3 % and foreign bed nights 3.6 %.

Length of stay increased 28 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. In Östergötland County, length of stay in November was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+31.7 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östergötland County on average 1.8 nights (+8.8 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+42.6 %).

26,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östergötland County on average 1.8 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+2.0).
