24,200 registered bed nights

In October 2020, 24,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Östersund (-17.7 %), of which 20,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 38 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 18 percent from last year's October.

5,600 rooms (-10.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,600 rooms (-43.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 208,000 registered bed nights (-20.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 30,100 (-80.9 %) for foreigners in Östersund, in total 238,000 (-43.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-23.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-14.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 449,000 nights (-52.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Östersund out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.1 percent were domestic, and 8.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östersund on average 1.8 nights (+0.16) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+1.9).
