16,300 registered bed nights

In May 2022, 16,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (-2.3 %), of which 15,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 98 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's May.

770 rooms (+0.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+96.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 24,800 registered bed nights (+1.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 660 (+144.1 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 25,500 (+3.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Östhammar out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

7,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.2 percent were domestic, and 1.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 2.2 nights (-0.47) and foreigners 3.0 nights (-3.2).
