Registered bed nights increased five percent
In December 2019, 1,700 bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (+5.4 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 62 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased four percent and foreign bed nights increased 55 percent. In total, bed nights increased five percent from last year's December.
330 rooms (-35.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 650 rooms (+17.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 131,000 bed nights (+3.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,800 (+36.0 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 136,000 (+4.1 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

1,200 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.9 percent were domestic, and 3.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 1.4 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.43).
