Registered bed nights increased 39 percent
In September 2021, 6,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (+39.4 %), of which 6,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 520 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 320 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 39 percent from last year's September.
1,200 rooms (+27.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 790 rooms (+12.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 142,000 registered bed nights (+6.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (+277.3 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 145,000 (+8.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.9 percent were domestic, and 4.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 1.7 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 3.3 nights (-0.12).
