Östhammar: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 48 percent
In April 2021, 2,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (+47.6 %), of which 2,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 33 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 60 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 80 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 48 percent from last year's April.
610 rooms (+10.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 270 rooms (-0.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 7,800 registered bed nights (+27.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 65 (-69.9 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 7,900 (+23.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.1 percent were domestic, and 0.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 2.0 nights (+0.42) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-13).
