Paid bed nights

6,200 registered bed nights

In September 2018, 6,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (-8.8 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 370 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased nine percent from last year's September.

1,000 rooms (+28.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (-10.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 119,000 registered bed nights (-7.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,000 (-42.6 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 123,000 (-8.8 %) registered nights.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Östhammar, length of stay in September was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 2.1 nights (-4.6 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-7.8 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased less than one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.4 percent were domestic, and 5.6 percent were from foreign countries.
