Registered bed nights increased 35 percent
In March 2019, 3,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (+35.0 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 210 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's March.
1,000 rooms (+41.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+7.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 7,100 registered bed nights (+2.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 380 (-17.6 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 7,500 (+1.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. In Östhammar, length of stay in March was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 1.5 nights (-11.6 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+16.3 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.0 percent were domestic, and 5.0 percent were from foreign countries.
