Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 41 percent

In March 2021, 2,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Östhammar (+41.4 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 44 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 41 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Finland (5.0 nights).

600 rooms (+154.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 166 rooms (-68.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 5,000 registered bed nights (+13.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 32 (-33.3 %) for foreigners in Östhammar, in total 5,000 (+13.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased 50 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. In Östhammar, length of stay in March was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Östhammar on average 2.5 nights (+48.7 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+5.6 %).

820 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.
