Registered bed nights increased 24 percent
In February 2020, 3,700 bed nights were recorded in Other North Ostrobothnia (+24.2 %), of which 1,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's February.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,100 nights).
3,400 nights (+22.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 320 nights (+44.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 2,700 bed nights (+31.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,400 (+2.6 %) for foreigners in Other North Ostrobothnia, in total 7,100 (+12.0 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

1,300 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 68.4 percent were domestic, and 31.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 1.7 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 5.7 nights (+0.29).

Accommodation sales 261,000 euro
Registered accommodation sales in February were 261,000 euro (+61,800).
Registered January-February sales were 412,000 euro and they increased 45,900 euro from the previous year.
