490 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 490 bed nights were recorded in Other North Ostrobothnia (-77.4 %), of which 480 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6.0 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 75 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 98 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 77 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Switzerland (6.0 nights).

290 nights (-83.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 196 nights (-52.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 4,600 bed nights (-23.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (-16.7 %) for foreigners in Other North Ostrobothnia, in total 10,300 (-20.1 %) nights.

Total of 190,000 bed nights (-88.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 173,000 nights (-85.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 16,800 nights (-95.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Other North Ostrobothnia out of total bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

260 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 80 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 1.9 nights (+0.24) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.07).
