In March 2020, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Other North Ostrobothnia (-38.3 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 33 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 42 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 38 percent from last year's March.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (730 nights).
2,200 nights (-34.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 260 nights (-57.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 3,300 registered bed nights (-2.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,700 (-9.8 %) for foreigners in Other North Ostrobothnia, in total 9,000 (-7.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 31 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. In Other North Ostrobothnia, length of stay in March was on average 3.5 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 2.1 nights (+2.1 %) and foreigners 8.7 nights (+29.0 %).
700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 53 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.4 percent were domestic, and 20.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 2.1 nights (+0.35) and foreigners 8.7 nights (+4.2).
