1,500 registered bed nights

In December 2020, 1,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Other North Ostrobothnia (-43.4 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 132 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 43 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Latvia (62 nights).

1,000 nights (-57.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 470 nights (+113.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 27,800 registered bed nights (+6.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,000 (-23.2 %) for foreigners in Other North Ostrobothnia, in total 35,700 (-2.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 766,000 registered bed nights (-56.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 702,000 nights (-29.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 64,200 nights (-91.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Other North Ostrobothnia out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. In Other North Ostrobothnia, length of stay in December was on average 2.5 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+15.3 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 2.4 nights (+0.8 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+49.3 %).

590 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.9 percent were domestic, and 6.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 2.4 nights (+0.33) and foreigners 3.7 nights (-1.2).
