Registered bed nights increased 145 percent
In May 2021, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Other North Ostrobothnia (+145.2 %), of which 1,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 29 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 148 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 38 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 145 percent from last year's May.
990 nights (+197.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 730 nights (+98.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 6,600 registered bed nights (+48.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 380 (-93.3 %) for foreigners in Other North Ostrobothnia, in total 6,900 (-31.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other North Ostrobothnia on average 2.1 nights (+0.54) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-2.9).
