Other Ostrobothnia: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased 21 percent
In June 2019, 2,600 bed nights were recorded in Other Ostrobothnia (+20.6 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and foreign bed nights increased 23 percent. In total, bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's June.
2,500 nights (+26.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 136 nights (-35.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 3,700 bed nights (+12.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 950 (-37.6 %) for foreigners in Other Ostrobothnia, in total 4,800 (+13.0 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

2,400 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 88.7 percent were domestic, and 11.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Ostrobothnia on average 1.0 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 1.3 nights (+0.08).
