Registered bed nights increased 107 percent
In May 2021, 880 registered bed nights were recorded in Other Ostrobothnia (+106.6 %), of which 680 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 196 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 134 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 47 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 107 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Spain (42 nights).
360 nights (+39.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 520 nights (+209.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 1,800 registered bed nights (+45.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 900 (+195.8 %) for foreigners in Other Ostrobothnia, in total 2,700 (+75.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 127 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.7 percent were domestic, and 4.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Ostrobothnia on average 1.1 nights (-0.01) and foreigners 7.3 nights (+0.93).
