Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 50 percent

In July 2021, 9,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Other Ostrobothnia (+49.9 %), of which 8,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 50 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 50 percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (420 nights).

8,300 nights (+53.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 980 nights (+24.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 13,100 registered bed nights (+40.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (+66.8 %) for foreigners in Other Ostrobothnia, in total 15,600 (+44.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+30.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 185,000 nights (+30.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Other Ostrobothnia out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 1.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Other Ostrobothnia, length of stay in July was on average 1.1 nights and in Finland 1.8 nights (+3.5 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Ostrobothnia on average 1.0 nights (+0.7 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+6.3 %).

8,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 51 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.1 percent were domestic, and 4.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Ostrobothnia on average 1.0 nights (-0.01) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.4).
