Registered bed nights increased 32 percent

In September 2021, 6,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Other South Ostrobothnia (+32.4 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 94 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 32 percent from last year's September.

2,700 nights (+2.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,400 nights (+73.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 43,300 registered bed nights (+21.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (+51.8 %) for foreigners in Other South Ostrobothnia, in total 46,800 (+23.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+29.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+21.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 204,000 nights (+121.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Other South Ostrobothnia out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

1,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other South Ostrobothnia on average 2.3 nights (+0.28) and foreigners 17 nights (-1.6).
