Registered bed nights increased 26 percent
In March 2019, 3,200 bed nights were recorded in Other South Ostrobothnia (+26.2 %), of which 3,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 79 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 22 percent. In total, bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's March.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (26 nights).
2,600 nights (+17.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 560 nights (+98.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 6,600 bed nights (+4.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 520 (-11.9 %) for foreigners in Other South Ostrobothnia, in total 7,100 (+3.0 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

1,800 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other South Ostrobothnia on average 1.8 nights (+0.23) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.1).
