In September 2018, 3,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Other South Ostrobothnia (-36.7 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 88 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 37 percent from last year's September.
2,700 nights (+84.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 680 nights (-82.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 39,900 registered bed nights (+33.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (-52.2 %) for foreigners in Other South Ostrobothnia, in total 42,400 (+20.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 39 percent compared to earlier year. In Other South Ostrobothnia, length of stay in September was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 1.8 nights (-1.9 %).
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other South Ostrobothnia on average 1.7 nights (+8.3 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-56.0 %).
1,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.5 percent were domestic, and 8.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other South Ostrobothnia on average 1.7 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-14).
