Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 26 percent
In March 2019, 3,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Other South Ostrobothnia (+26.2 %), of which 3,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 79 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's March.
2,600 nights (+17.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 560 nights (+98.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 6,700 registered bed nights (+5.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 450 (-24.9 %) for foreigners in Other South Ostrobothnia, in total 7,100 (+3.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 14 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Other South Ostrobothnia, length of stay in March was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-2.4 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other South Ostrobothnia on average 1.8 nights (+5.2 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-35.1 %).
1,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other South Ostrobothnia on average 1.8 nights (+0.23) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.1).
