Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased seven percent
In June 2018, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Other Southwest Finland (+6.6 %), of which 6,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 960 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 53 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's June.
4,400 nights (+14.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,600 nights (-3.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 19,500 registered bed nights (+7.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,100 (+39.8 %) for foreigners in Other Southwest Finland, in total 24,600 (+12.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Other Southwest Finland, length of stay in June was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 1.8 nights (-0.0 %).
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Southwest Finland on average 1.8 nights (+2.0 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-30.3 %).
3,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.3 percent were domestic, and 14.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Southwest Finland on average 1.8 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.16).
