In March 2020, 1,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Other Southwest Finland (-47.4 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 53 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 89 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 47 percent from last year's March.
490 nights (-54.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 760 nights (-41.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 4,200 registered bed nights (-18.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 320 (-73.6 %) for foreigners in Other Southwest Finland, in total 4,500 (-28.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. In Other Southwest Finland, length of stay in March was on average 1.5 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Southwest Finland on average 1.5 nights (+4.6 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-34.5 %).
840 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Southwest Finland on average 1.5 nights (-0.28) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-2.4).
