Ovanåker: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 41 percent
In May 2022, 1,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Ovanåker (+41.1 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 74 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 124 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 41 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Netherlands (22 nights).
400 rooms (+59.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 570 rooms (+46.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 6,400 registered bed nights (+74.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 300 (+113.4 %) for foreigners in Ovanåker, in total 6,700 (+75.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 70 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ovanåker on average 1.9 nights (-0.41) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.12).
