Registered bed nights increased 49 percent (January)
In January 2023, 36,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Päijät-Häme (+49.2 %), of which 27,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 530 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (440 nights).
20,400 nights (+27.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,100 nights (+90.7 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
Registered bed nights increased 69 percent (January, Lahti)
In January 2023, 21,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lahti (+69.1 %), of which 12,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 610 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 69 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (280 nights).
7,600 nights (+97.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 13,300 nights (+56.3 %) by business visitors.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 94 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.8 percent were domestic, and 17.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Päijät-Häme on average 1.7 nights (-0.71) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.04).
