53,600 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 53,600 bed nights (+12.6 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Päijät-Häme in November 2022. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 74 % and non-registered 26 %.
Between January and November, the number of paid bed nights was 718,000 (+20.4 %). Share of registered was 77 % and non-registered 23 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased six percent
In November 2022, 39,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Päijät-Häme (+6.0 %), of which 32,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 183 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's November.
20,100 nights (+2.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 19,800 nights (+9.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 481,000 registered bed nights (+20.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 69,000 (+160.2 %) for foreigners in Päijät-Häme, in total 550,000 (+28.7 %) registered nights.

Registered bed nights increased 16 percent (Lahti)
In November 2022, 23,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lahti (+15.6 %), of which 16,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 320 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's November.
6,400 nights (+11.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 17,100 nights (+17.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 202,000 registered bed nights (+26.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 56,300 (+207.6 %) for foreigners in Lahti, in total 258,000 (+45.1 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.2 percent were domestic, and 15.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Päijät-Häme on average 1.7 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-1.2).

Accommodation sales 2.9 million euro
Total accommodation sales in November were 2.9 million euro (+456,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 19.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 2.3 million euro (+274,000) and non-registered sales 548,000 euro (+182,000).
Total January-November sales were 35.2 million euro and they increased 8.2 million euro from the previous year.
