Registered bed nights increased 15 percent
In August 2020, 13,800 bed nights were recorded in Parainen (+15.2 %), of which 12,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 44 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 55 percent. In total, bed nights increased 15 percent from last year's August.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (610 nights).
12,600 nights (+23.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (-33.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 48,700 bed nights (+24.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,600 (-63.2 %) for foreigners in Parainen, in total 53,300 (+2.8 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Parainen on average 1.3 nights (-0.23) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.08).
