Registered bed nights increased 36 percent
In May 2021, 26,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Piteå (+36.5 %), of which 21,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (2,200 nights).
5,100 rooms (+87.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,800 rooms (+33.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 45,100 registered bed nights (-3.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,600 (-9.5 %) for foreigners in Piteå, in total 57,700 (-4.8 %) registered nights.
