27,400 registered bed nights
In March 2021, 27,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Pohjois-Lappi (-45.9 %), of which 25,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 31 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 95 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 46 percent from last year's March.
22,600 nights (-40.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,800 nights (-62.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 63,400 registered bed nights (+25.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,600 (-98.0 %) for foreigners in Pohjois-Lappi, in total 67,000 (-70.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pohjois-Lappi on average 3.2 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 3.8 nights (+0.75).
