Registered bed nights increased 30 percent

In October 2021, 20,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Pori Region (+29.6 %), of which 19,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 121 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 30 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (460 nights).

11,200 nights (+26.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,700 nights (+33.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 221,000 registered bed nights (+18.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,800 (-13.7 %) for foreigners in Pori Region, in total 233,000 (+16.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.3 percent

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+47.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+39.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 200,000 nights (+149.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Pori Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

12,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori Region on average 1.6 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 3.7 nights (-0.44).
