Registered bed nights increased three percent
In August 2022, 37,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Pori Region (+3.4 %), of which 33,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 120 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's August.
23,900 nights (-4.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 13,100 nights (+20.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 195,000 registered bed nights (+7.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,900 (+172.9 %) for foreigners in Pori Region, in total 217,000 (+14.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori Region on average 1.8 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.1).

Registered accommodation sales in August were 2.0 million euro (+118,000).
Registered January-August sales were 12.2 million euro and they increased 3.4 million euro from the previous year.
