Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 35 percent
In March 2018, 18,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Pori Region (+34.8 %), of which 16,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 21 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's March.
7,900 nights (+64.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 10,400 nights (+18.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 42,300 registered bed nights (+38.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,400 (-9.2 %) for foreigners in Pori Region, in total 48,700 (+29.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Pori Region, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-0.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori Region on average 1.9 nights (+21.4 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-24.3 %).
9,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.2 percent were domestic, and 8.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-1.3).
