14,100 registered bed nights (April)

In April 2023, 14,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Pori (-10.6 %), of which 11,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 11 percent from last year's April.

7,300 nights (-5.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,700 nights (-15.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 42,000 registered bed nights (+6.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,600 (+14.8 %) for foreigners in Pori, in total 50,500 (+8.0 %) registered nights.

In June 2023, the number of bed nights in paid accommodation is expected to decrease by 5.7 % compared to the previous year.

The number of bed nights is expected to decrease by 7.9 % in the next six months compared to the previous year.

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (-3.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (-7.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 261,000 nights (+20.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Pori out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

8,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation (April)

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.5 percent were domestic, and 6.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori on average 1.5 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 4.4 nights (+1.9).

680 air travelers

The airport received a total of 680 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 26 percent.

Of local passengers, 43.0 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 57.0 %.

In addition, there were 610 passengers departing the airport (+9.9 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 1,300 (+17.8 %).

Accommodation sales 1.0 million euro (April)

Total accommodation sales in April were 1.0 million euro (-26,900). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 14.3 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 882,000 euro (-43,200) and non-registered sales 148,000 euro (+16,300).

Total January-April sales were 3.7 million euro and they increased 506,000 euro from the previous year.
