3,900 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 3,900 bed nights (-74.5 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Pori in April 2020. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 41 % and non-registered 59 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 39,300 (-29.8 %). Share of registered was 72 % and non-registered 28 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Paid bed nights
1,600 registered bed nights
In April 2020, 1,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Pori (-87.2 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 310 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 88 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 83 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 87 percent from last year's April.
1,000 nights (-81.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 610 nights (-91.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 23,400 registered bed nights (-40.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,100 (-21.6 %) for foreigners in Pori, in total 28,500 (-37.8 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 44 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 44 percent compared to earlier year. In Pori, length of stay in April was on average 2.3 nights and in Finland 2.9 nights (+52.5 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori on average 1.9 nights (-3.4 %) and foreigners 20 nights (+30.8 %).
710 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 91 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.9 percent were domestic, and 2.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori on average 1.9 nights (+0.42) and foreigners 20 nights (+18).

Accommodation sales 152,000 euro
Total accommodation sales in April were 152,000 euro (-660,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 48.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 79,200 euro (-675,000) and non-registered sales 73,200 euro (+14,200).
Total January-April sales were 2.1 million euro and they decreased 1.1 million euro from the previous year.
