10,100 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 10,100 bed nights (+156.2 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Pori in April 2021. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 69 % and non-registered 31 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 34,200 (-13.1 %). Share of registered was 72 % and non-registered 28 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 330 percent
In April 2021, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Pori (+333.4 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 540 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 390 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 78 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 330 percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (109 nights).
3,700 nights (+267.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,300 nights (+443.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 22,900 registered bed nights (-2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,800 (-63.9 %) for foreigners in Pori, in total 24,700 (-13.2 %) registered nights.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. In Pori, length of stay in April was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.5 nights (-15.8 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori on average 1.7 nights (+22.1 %) and foreigners 4.0 nights (+10.0 %).
3,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 440 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.5 percent were domestic, and 3.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pori on average 1.7 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-16).

Accommodation sales 492,000 euro
Total accommodation sales in April were 492,000 euro (+340,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 24.4 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 372,000 euro (+293,000) and non-registered sales 120,000 euro (+46,700).
Total January-April sales were 1.7 million euro and they decreased 319,000 euro from the previous year.
