Registered bed nights increased 32 percent
In January 2017, 8,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Porvoo And Loviisa Region (+32.3 %), of which 5,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 32 percent from last year's January.
4,400 nights (+91.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,700 nights (-3.3 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Porvoo And Loviisa Region, length of stay in January was on average 1.5 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+2.3 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Porvoo And Loviisa Region on average 1.4 nights and foreigners 2.1 nights .
