Registered bed nights increased 52 percent
In December 2017, 11,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Porvoo And Loviisa Region (+51.5 %), of which 9,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 43 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's December.
6,000 nights (+20.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,500 nights (+109.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 146,000 registered bed nights (+41.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 37,700 (+48.2 %) for foreigners in Porvoo And Loviisa Region, in total 184,000 (+42.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 31 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. In Porvoo And Loviisa Region, length of stay in December was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+0.4 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Porvoo And Loviisa Region on average 1.8 nights (+32.1 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+13.5 %).
6,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.3 percent were domestic, and 15.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Porvoo And Loviisa Region on average 1.8 nights (+0.5) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.18).
