Registered bed nights increased 21 percent
In January 2018, 9,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Porvoo And Loviisa Region (+21.1 %), of which 7,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's January.
4,300 nights (-1.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,400 nights (+48.3 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 22 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. In Porvoo And Loviisa Region, length of stay in January was on average 1.9 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-0.3 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Porvoo And Loviisa Region on average 1.8 nights and foreigners 2.2 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.7 percent were domestic, and 21.3 percent were from foreign countries.
